Sidewalk Sale
The Central Avenue BID (CABID), with a donation from Investors Bank, sponsored a "Sidewalk Sale-abration" on August 18 and 19 which culminated with a street fair on Old Sanford Place on August 19. Patrons were treated to super hero Captain America, super villain The Joker, the Batmobile, strolling entertainers, a car show, bicycle giveaway, bounce house, music, and free popcorn and cotton candy.

A stiltwalker, balloon clown, face painter, and popcorn and cotton candy machines were among the other free attractions at the Sidewalk Sale-abration.
The CABID also conducted a drawing for a girls' and boys' bicycle to close out the event. Pictured here are the winners.

Central Avenue
The CABID again partnered with the City Dept. of Public Works to beautify the western end of Central Avenue with more than 1000 vincas in the median and sidewalk planters, plus another 200 vincas in the traffic island on Prospect Street. The CABID funds the project (over $5500); DPW provides the labor.
